Old Salt is an Americana band based out of Ghent, Belgium, performing original and traditional music since 2015. The international members have individually influenced Old Salt with their heritage sounds from the USA, Belgium, Sweden, France and Scotland. Ever since, they’ve run a remarkable course with gigs in Belgium at Dranouter Festival and at the Gentse Feesten, in Sweden at Urkult Festival and in USA in the Guthrie Center in Great Barrington MA, just to name a few. Old Salt received the “European World of Bluegrass” award for 2017. In 2018, the band made his debut in the UK, Ireland, Austria and Germany.

JigJam, das mehrfach preisgekrönte Quartett aus dem Herzen der irischen Midlands, liefert eine aufregende Mixtur aus Bluegrass, Irish Folk und Americana, auch als „CeltGrass“ bezeichnet. Mit ihrer ausgelassenen Spielfreude, ihrer enormen Bühnenenergie und ihrem virtuosen musikalischen Können faszinieren die JigJam-Musiker das Publikum auf der ganzen Welt. Die Musiker dieser „Gute-Laune“-Band sind Jamie McKeogh, Cathal Guinan und Daithi Melia aus Tullamore, Co. Offaly sowie Gavin Strappe aus Tipperary. Alle vier Mitglieder des Quartetts sind in der traditionellen irischen Musik und Kultur aufgewachsen. Auch wenn JigJam ihren irischen Wurzeln treu bleibt, so hat die Band mittlerweile ihren eigenen einzigartigen Musikstil entwickelt, der von amerikanischer Folk-Musik – vornehmlich Bluegrass & Americana – beeinflusst ist. Die JigJams sind Multi-Instrumentalisten – auf der Bühne wird ständig zwischen Banjos, Gitarren, Geigen, Mandolinen und Kontrabass gewechselt, was ein Konzerterlebnis schafft, das sowohl dem Auge als auch dem Ohr gefällt. Die Veranstaltung ist teilbestuhlt – es darf also gerne getanzt werden!
